“It means so much to us that you're taking the time to be with us on our big day. Your presence speaks volumes and truly means the world.” -M & T

During dinner, the bride and groom will make their way around to greet each table and share special moments with their guests. And in true Vietnamese tradition, guests will have the chance to gift their Lì Xì (lucky red envelopes)—but only if the bride and groom can earn it!

Be ready to throw some challenges their way and watch them play games chosen by you.

We won’t have a traditional gift registry, but if you’d like to share a gift, Lì Xì is a fun and meaningful way to do so!

Traditional Table Games for Vietnamese Wedding Dinners

  • Super common and fun! The MC gets everyone at the table to cheer with the bride and groom.

Can make it into a mini competition: Which table is the loudest? Or have a "cheers-off" between two tables.

  • The table offers a shot to either the bride or groom—but they can opt out only if they do a dare (like a love confession, dance move, or answer a funny question).

  • When the bride and groom stop by your table, you get to quiz them!

    Ask a question like:

    • Where was your first trip together?

    • Who said “I love you” first?

    • What did you do on your first date?

Whoever answers wrong or hesitates between the two… takes the shot! 🥂

Bonus: If they both get it wrong or give different answers… they BOTH drink! 😄

  • The rules are simple:

    1. Spin a chopstick on the table.

    2. Whoever it points to takes a shot!

    3. That person then chooses someone from the bridal party—or the bride or groom—to take the next shot. 🎯💥

  • One balloon is placed between the bride and groom—they must pop it using only their bodies (no hands!).

Gets everyone laughing, especially if they have to try more than once!

  • The table picks two small items (e.g., lollipops, teacups, photos), hides them under cups, and mixes them up.

Bride and groom have one chance to each pick the matching item.

If they match—they win applause or a treat! If not—drink up!

  • Teamwork makes the dream work!
The groom must lift or carry the bride while she tries to bite the hanging food item (no hands!). 🎯

Can she reach it? Can he hold steady?
